The Capitol Art Collection, managed by the nonprofit Capitol Art Foundation (a 501(c)(3) organization), is the only permanent, public collection of contemporary art in New Mexico that is both free and widely accessible. The Collection features a diverse range of works—from abstract expressionism to traditional santos, from furniture to fiber, and from photography to found objects—showcasing the full spectrum of New Mexico’s creative talent.
Located inside the New Mexico State Capitol, the collection offers a unique opportunity to explore the richness of contemporary New Mexican art—all in one place.
