Charles M. Carrillo is an artist, author, and archaeologist from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is renowned for creating art using Spanish colonial techniques, particularly as a santero, crafting religious images known as retablos. Carrillo’s work reflects the traditions of 18th-century Spanish New Mexico.
