Biography: Denny Gutierrez was a Santa Clara Pueblo potter renowned for his distinctive “”faceted melon bowl”” style developed in the 1990s. He learned pottery from his mother, Katherine Gutierrez, and served as governor of Santa Clara Pueblo from 2000 to 2004.
