San Ildefonso Pottery

Russell Sanchez is a master potter from San Ildefonso Pueblo. He began learning pottery at the age of 13 under the guidance of his great aunt, renowned potter Rose Gonzales. Sanchez is celebrated for his unique and expertly crafted pottery pieces, which often feature intricate incising, carving, and polishing techniques.
